allied innovation award

  1. Nominee may be an individual or a group of team, and should be nominated by an authorized submission agent, which is currently restricted to tech-transfer office or similar organization in an accredited university.
  2. The innovation can include, but is not limited to, technology advances in medicine, biotechnology, agriculture, environmental science, computer science, engineering, electronics, chemistry, optics, etc.
  3. The innovation not only should address a need and solve a problem but also could potentially seize an opportunity and create a new market or industry.
  4. Preference will be given to innovations that could meet an existing need, and has different and game changing advantages over any alternatives. The relationship between its cost and benefits and its economic desirability will also be evaluated.
  5. Preference will be given to innovations that has broader implications and impacts.
  6. Judging: All nominations will be reviewed by the members of the Allied High-tech Expert Committee as well as a panel of professionals, who are recognized experts with strong scientific or business backgrounds in their fields.
  7. The award winner will receive a comprehensive package valued at over $50,000 which could potentially draw invest fund worldwide and put the technology on the fast track of commercialization. Specifically, the winner receives:
  • $5,000 cash grant
  • $5,000 travel award (optional, if could travel abroad to Asia or Europe) for roadshow to meet investors.
  • Optional: Up to $40,000 in start-up management and services (management team, scientific team, fund rising events, global strategic development, etc.) to help the innovation spin-out domestically or globally.
